In this classic example of Mark Twain's humor, Eve (of Adam and Eve fame) is the narrator, telling her story from her creation. She's all woman right from the start, as she tries to think of a way to reach up and collect some stars so she can put them in her hair, and she loves flowers so much that she weaves into garlands and wreaths to wear. She calls her companion "the other experiment." She doesn't know what to make of him, but after some observation she decides that what he does best is rest.
This is very funny. There also a companion novella titled Adam's Diary, which is equally funny.
