In this classic example of Mark Twain's humor, Eve (of Adam and Eve fame) is the narrator, telling her story from her creation. She's all woman right from the start, as she tries to think of a way to reach up and collect some stars so she can put them in her hair, and she loves flowers so much that she weaves into garlands and wreaths to wear. She calls her companion "the other experiment." She doesn't know what to make of him, but after some observation she decides that what he does best is rest.
This is very funny. There also a companion novella titled Adam's Diary, which is equally funny.

And in the end the world doesn’t matter so much because… "wherever she was; there was Eden"”

Well, duh, because it looks like a tiger! Adam has to learn to adjust to Eve's strange ways, and one day realizes that he can't be happy without her. ”
