“Michelle Maxwell, Secret Service, was assigned protection detail for a presidential candidate who disappeared while on her watch. Sean King is a former Secret Service agent, now lawyer, who left the service due to the death of the presidential candidate he was supposed to be protecting 8 years earlier. michelle's reputation has been tarnished, and she wants to find out what happened to the candidate she was protecting. While doing so, she stumbles across Sean King's fall from grace. Amazingly the two cases, although eight years apart, seem to have a common thread, but what is it. Who is pulling the strings? This book starts out relatively slowly but finishes at break neck speed!”

“Ok for Baldacci. Given the interesting run up to the climax, the resolution was a bit weak. With an assasination and a kidnap of the presidential candidates, I was expecting grander reason then what was given. ”
