    It's much lighter than Huff's blood series.

    Great new cast of characters from Tanya Huff - I hope to read about more of the Gales.

    A lot of fun. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

    There are dragons over Calgary, and Alysha Gale is out to find out why. Of course, she wouldn't have even known about the dragon if her grandmother hadn't suddenly disappeared and left her store of miscellany behind for Allie to sort out. As she uncovers more of the big doings in Calgary, she brings in more and more of her tight-knit family to help her deal with things. The dialog is snappy and fun, the Canadian setting is different and rich, and her characters are well-developed and interesting.

    May not be my favorite of Tanya Huff's books, but I still enjoyed it. The story starts off a bit slow and confusing, but once Allie gets on her own and takes over the shop, things really pick up. Mixed with both humor, action, and pie, this is an fun, although odd, tale.

    Oh my! I really enjoyed this book. The Gale family and 1st, 2nd, 3rd ring and Alysha. Dragon Lords and Sorcerers. Graham and Alysha. I truly do hope it is the start of a series. I can see the distinct possibilities.

    -This might be the start of a new series. If it is, its awesome so far!

    The characters are superb; the writing is even better than usual. The only problem is I finished reading it and there's not another one, yet ;-}

    A story that's about love, choice, power and over all - family. The story is of Allie Gale, a daughter of the all so powerful Gale family of Toronto who is getting old enough to be chosen by a man, although the one that she loved is loved by and in love with another. The book starts slowly and a bit confusingly but builds pace so rapidly that by the middle i couldn't put it down. There are the good guys (the Gale family, even if the aunties are a bit..overwhelming) the bad guys - a sorcerer mostly, the not so bad but very very attractive, and the dragon lords. It's a good mystery filled with humor and exasperation and it has a very fulfilling ending.

    So far I love this book! Very funny, great read, if a little confusing. But I think it will sort itself out as I read more.

    It took me awhile to get into this book. The family situation was hard to decipher at first, but once i saw what was going on I really enjoyed the story. I stayed up until 2AM to finish it and find out what happened.
