Cast of Characters/Important People

Amy Cahill: A 14-year-old who loves museums, research, and generally reading and finding out new things. She was six years old when her parents died in a mysterious fire, and has flashes of what happened that night. She is Dan's older sister.
Dan Cahill: An 11-year-old who is obsessed with gross facts, ninjas, collecting things, and pretty much driving his sister nuts. He is immature, but in serious situations is very good to have around. He was three years old when his parents died. He has a photographic memory, and is Amy's younger brother.
Nellie Gomez: Amy and Dan's au pair who loves heavy metal, cooking, and trying new foods. She also is turning out to be more mysterious than Amy and Dan first thought, and knows a lot of different things. She travels everywhere with Amy and Dan and helps to (try) and keep them out of trouble.
Uncle Shep: Amy and Dan's father's cousin. Was their father's best friend when he was little. Regrets having not taken care of them or kept in proper contact until they show up at his door.
Ian Kabra: 14-year-old Ian Kabra's parents are the head of the Lucian branch of the Cahills. He is specially trained in many things and extremely rich, as he likes to remind everyone. He has a soft spot for Amy, though he doesn't show it often.
Isabel Kabra: One of the heads of the Lucian branch of the Cahills. She is reportedly "very beautiful", but is cruel and will do almost anything to get her way, including murder. She is Ian and Natalie's mother.
Natalie Kabra: Ian's 11-year-old sister. She takes huge advantage of being rich and won't let anyone forget it. She always has expensive name brand bags, clothes, shoes, and you name it. She may seem prissy, but can be extremely dangerous.
Irina Spasky: An ex-KGB agent, Irina does most of her work for the Lucian branch. She was in college with Ian and Natalie's father as a young woman. She is developing a soft spot for Amy and Dan, because they remind her of a child that she lost.
Uncle Alistar: From the Ekaterina branch, Alistar is the inventor of microwaveable burritos. Amy and Dan have been allies with him before and know that he usually comes clean, but they are not sure whether to completely trust him after an occurence in South Korea.
