- Sterling Red: The unknown serial killer who arrives with the approach of a violent storm and leaves multiple people dead in its wake. With a strange affinity for condiments and violent bouts of the shakes, he claims to have a connection to a local cop and 4 strangers who also arrived during the storm.
- Colt: A cop with a traumatic past who moved from Las Vegas to find easier living in a small town. Now with a serial killer on the loose in that town who seems to be gunning for him, he has to figure out what's going on before Sterling Red can get to him or one of the 4 others who have been thrown in this together.
