An attorney, intending to follow in her father's footsteps, instead falls victim to her poor judgement and more powerful colleagues who blame her for a mistake. She is like a volunteer seed dropped into unfamiliar ground when she quits and takes a job in Macon, GA, with the prosecutor's office to "show them". There she succeeds in finding her own life in an alien setting, with her liberal, jewish background setting her apart. Good story. The characters are well developed and believable.
