Didn’t Like It

I thought this book started out pretty slow. The introduction of the story went on way too long. Once I got into the story it got better and by the end it left me with enough desire to read book two.

However if you don't like swearing she used the "f" word too much. It did nothing to...

This book started off really dry and bland for me. Somehow, at the beginning, I didn't connect. For half of the story I was just sick of Lia. She CONSTANTLY complained about her new situation. It really got old after a while! Also, her boyfriend infuriated me.

But don't get the wrong idea. Sure, half of the book was a little bit slow, but after the mid-way point, BAM! You learn a deeper side to Lia and I actually started to really like it! The ending sucked me in so much that I could not tear my eyes from the page! There is no doubt in the world that I will make sure that the sequel to this great read is at the top of my TBR list.

And you wanna hear the best part? It's part of a trilogy (:

I would recommend this book to anyone who liked the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld or just wants an magnificent, slightly Sci-Fi read!

This book is called skinned. It is written by Robin Wasserman. It has 361 pages and is worth 12.0 points. If I had to rate this book on a level of 1-5 I would rate it a 5! I would rate it this because this was an amazing book. I would read it again any day. It was very good.

This book is about a girl who had the perfect life. She was gorgeous and popular and had the most amazing friends. But then one day all of a sudden something terrible happened and she completely transformed from human to someone one or something else. Do you want to know what? Well I guess you will have to read the book to find out! Some parts of this book really have you up on your toes in suspense.

So I recommend reading this book to anyone! No matter what gender you are this is an amazing book. I hope that next time you want to find a book to read you look for this one because you won’t regret it! I promise. It is probably one of the best books I have ever read.

I loved this book. Lia's memories have been implanted in a new body that will last forever but she is rejected by everyone (even her family) eventhough she tries to fit in so hard. This novel explores the question of what it is that makes us who we are.

Nisareen - So Much To Read So Little Time

Lia Kahn was perfect: rich, beautiful, popular -- until the accident that nearly killed her. Now she has been downloaded into a new body that only looks human. Lia will never feel pain again, she will never age, and she can't ever truly die. But she is also rejected by her friends, betrayed by her boyfriend, and alienated from her old life. Forced to the fringes of society, Lia joins others like her. But they are looked at as freaks. They are hated...and feared. They are everything but human, and according to most people, this is the ultimate crime -- for which they must pay the ultimate price.

I thought this book started out pretty slow. The introduction of the story went on way too long. Once I got into the story it got better and by the end it left me with enough desire to read book two.

However if you don't like swearing she used the "f" word too much. It did nothing to enhance the story. It just really irritates me when authors of young adult fiction think it makes a story better to use all of that swearing.

great book, love the futuristic bits and i love the whole idea. would not recommend to younger readers, though, because of the intimacy.
