This is basically the definitive steampunk work, and while it is by no means perfect, it kept me interested for most of the book, until the last 40-ish pages gave a confusing and weak ending.

It must be more interesting with a solid background in 19th century British history. I still am trying to figure out just what this book was about. There were some interesting story lines, but overall, a pointless wandering read.
