The Road to Gandolfo

by Robert Ludlum

In this wickedly funny novel, Robert Ludlum combines the explosive pacing of The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy with a bitingly witty send-up of everything from government bureaucrats and pandering military men to the mob, the law, and organized religion.

Read this! He didn't mean for it to happen but it is funny! Once he realized that it was humorous he just went with it!

Love Ludlum's work, and these (Road to. . ) are great, and actually have a bit of a comedic language to them. I've marked them with fewer stars because while they are good, they are not quite the page turners as his other bodies of work.

A very funny novel with the sequel "The Road To Omaha" even more hilarious.

Every author seems to stray from character once in a while. I didn't know this guy had it in him to be funny. Very funny, but not for one Sam Devereaux. lol

This isn't the standard Ludlum affair, it's not cold-war back-stabbing, it's good old fashioned fun and humour. A short read but you'll be laughing all the way through.

This is my favorite Ludlum book of all. He breaks out of usual mold and writes almost whimsically in this one. The style seems effortless and so the story if not plausible is highly entertaining.
