Palmer said she had to talk her publishers into this historical romance (she usually writes westerns). thank goodness she did. Loved it. Cole Whitehall asked Lacy to wait for him as he went off to war. But after the war he is a changed man. The two are unwittingly compromised into marriage by Cole's brother Ben. There are many twists and turns to this story and a great story comes through.
