As expected Vince Flynn novels are fast moving and full of action and I normally enjoy reading them. However, I was taken back when I read on Pg. 9 Chapter 2 that the author has written: "Cindad del Este was a godless place. Chinese, Mexicans, Colombians, Syrians, Lebanese, Palestinians, Eurotrash, Russian thugs and every other sort of reprobates roamed its streets". This sounds like a very racist remark. Being a Chinese, I find this remark rather insulting as the author are comparing Chinese to Eurotrash, Russian mobs and insinuate that Chinese, Mexicans and most other non-European races are reprobate and godless!! It looks like minority races in US especially Chinese and Mexicans are often regarded as reprobates roaming the streets.

A good tale of good versus evil, but I wish the author would take a few grammar lessons or get an editor who would correct his mistakes !

Myriad means many, therefore Mr. Flynn should not use : " a myriad of..." He could choose to correctly use : " The myriad ways..." etc.
Also, he annoys me when he changes verb tenses incorrectly, grrrrr :O) and my all time bugaboo...

" A parent knows their child" ...aaieeieiee " A parent knows HIS child"

My first Vince Flynn thriller, and I was NOT disappointed. Excellent plot and good character studies.

Classic Mitch Rapp and Vince Flynn. If I am ever caught by terrorists I want to see Mitch Rapp's human equivalent come and save me. Flynn does a nice job building intensity and bringing it all together at the end. Glad Flynn signed on for four more books.
