This book was really sad. If you don't want to cry at least once, don't read it. I loved it though.

It has a very good story, but all good things have to come to an end. I kind of knew that Travis would eventually would die at the end of the book.

One the most heart breaking stories she's even written.

In the beginning of Breathless, Travis, the main character, his sister, Emily, his friend Cooper, and his girlfriend Darla are out on their boat. Travis decides he wants to dive off of a cliff, because he is a diver on their school swim team. When he tells the other people, they tell him he's crazy, because people have died jumping off the cliff. When he comes back up to the surface, he is screaming. Cooper jumps in to get him back in the boat, and then drives the boat back to the dock. When they get to the hospital, Emily calls their parents and tells them what happened. When they get to the hospital, the doctors tell them that Travis has cancer, and they are going to have to cut off his leg. When his parents decide to tell Travis, he is very upset. One night after his leg is amputated, Cooper is at his house at one o' clock in the morning, and Travis asks Cooper to help him kill himself. At the end of the book, Travis dies, and you find out later that Cooper did it, by sneaking into the hospital. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sad stories with a little bit of romance.

It's amazing. Definitely a twist from Lurlene's normal writing. It's very good though && easy to relate to.

I loved this book. It really makes you think about topics not usually discussed or shared. I highly recommend.
