“As the number of famous people who show up as important characters goes up, my liking for this series goes down. This book includes not only Churchill but Lady Astor and the Kennedys (Joe, Joe Jr., Jack, and Kathleen). I was continually pulled out of the story by wondering whether the author's real-life views of the Kennedys were coloring the way he wrote about them, or whether they really were like the people depicted in the book.”
