I enjoyed this one much more than some before this. It was amazing to see Anita go through this entire book with minimal sex. I liked the introduction of the Las Vegas tigers and I just love Victor and I hope to learn more about him in the future, but I see this might complicate things even further in the story (something the story definately doesn't need.) I hope Hamilton can find a way to get Anita's story less bogged down with men and impossible ancient powers. I miss the old Anita.

So, yes the beginning of the series had less sex and more... more, but I still love the series and Anita. And who said lots of sex was a bad thing anyway?

Finally the Anita I know and love! Anita is back to her kicking ass and taking names mode. Those retard cops have no clue. Cool the vegas SWAT had phychics on the squad. It added a whole new twist on the good cop bad cop issue. The ardeur thing wasn't nearly so annoying. I'm a little lost on the mother of all darkness thing. Suddenly poof she's gone cause somebody blew her up? After all that crap? A little anti climactic don't you think?

This book reads like a video game, with the players shuffling around like stick figures.... not even very much hot sex or gratuitous violence.....

OMG! This was awesome... just like the beginning of the series, back to the core of the Anita Blake series. I was disappointed that Jean-Claude wasn't in the book except from a distance; however, I really liked that he finally told Anita that he was jealous of all the men and since she is now living with him, that he was hoping things would change to a more serious relationship... I'm definitely for that. I hope she gets the 4th mark somewhere in the next book or two and my wish... that she and Jean-Claude get married. Major pie in the sky wish, buy hey, you never know.

Ardeur hell, I'm addicted to the Anita Blake Series.

I want the series to continue, and for that to happen and Anita not to age, she needs the 4th mark! Let's hope Laurell writes it in the story line...

It's off to Vegas to hunt the killer who sent us a head. But WHO is going to tell Jean Claude that Anita is off again? And what will the White Tigers of Vegas think of the invader?
