Another well-written Agatha Christie's novel. Very enjoyable. Moves at a slow pace in the beginning but things become exciting as the novel reaches the climax.

I listened to this read by Hugh Fraser. This is a Ariadne Oliver novel, which does not feature Hercule Poirot

A dying woman's last words, a mysterious list of names, occultism and witchcraft in an English village... all these, and more, elements combine in this riveting novel

Was built up quite nicely. The plot was going good, the setting mysterious and the characters interesting. The climax fouled it all up and ended up as a cliched detective story. Still should be read once.

Super book! Has all the frightening mystery as well as a supernatural background which makes it Agatha Christie's masterpiece!
