It took some time for me to warmup to this one, but once Seth left to visit the High Court I really got into it. i like the spin we get with the Sorcha and Seth's relationship. We need more Bananach; she is the one character Melissa has that makes me sit closer to the book and pay attention. Melissa Marr is a smooth, talented writer and I'm really enjoying her series.”

She is everything he'd ever dreamed of, and he wants to be with her forever. Forever takes on new meaning, though, when your girlfriend is an immortal faery queen. Aislinn never expected to rule the very creatures who'd always terrified her—but that was before Keenan. He stole her mortality to make her a monarch, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any she'd ever imagined. In Melissa Marr's third mesmerizing tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and each other in a milieu of shadowy rules and shifting allegiances, where old friends become new enemies and one wrong move could plunge the Earth into chaos.

After one mediocre and one decent book, I didn't expect to like this one. The story was engaging, the characters seemed to have more depth than in the previous to novels and I actually want to read whatever subsequent books Marr plans to write. I could finally believe that Aislinn loves Seth but feels conflicted over her feelings toward Keenan. I could actually feel the frustration that Seth felt over being mortal. I wish Keenan was a little bit more developed, I want to believe that he loves Donia. ”
