• Hanna Marin: The "It Girl" at Rosewood Day High School, and she'd like to keep it that way; friends with Aria, Emily, and Spencer. Was friends with Alison. Used to be fat, but now is the one of the thinnest girls in school. She dates Lucas, but then A tears them apart, and she finds her true love in Mike (Aria's brother).
• Aria Montgomery: Friends with Hannah, Emily, Spencer, and was friends with Alison. She starts to date Jason DiLaurentis, but then she finds out some bad things about him...
• Emily Fields: Friends with Hannah, Aria, Spencer was friends with Alison. She got the nick-name "Killer" because she was so protective of Alison.
• Spencer Hastings: Smart overachiever who attends Rosewood Day, and is friends with Hanna, Aria, and Emily. She registers in an adoption finder program, and goes to meet her sorta real mom. She gets scammed by her "mom" Olivia.
• Alison Lauren DiLaurentis: The girls' manipulating best friend who was found murdered in her own backyard. Aria pulled someone out of the fire, and it looked just like Ali.
• Mona Vanderwaal: Hanna's former best friend and the old A. She was a vicious person, and is now dead.
• Jason DiLaurentis: Alison's brother, who knows something else...
• Darren Wilden: A Rosewood police officer who might only be protecting his own secrets rather than the girls. He possibly poured gasoline over Spencer's barn and set it on fire with Spencer, Hanna, and Emily in it. Aria was coming to Spencer's from the woods, and someone also set the woods on fire.
• Ian Thomas: Melissa's ex-boyfriend, might have been framed for Ali's murder, faked his death in the woods, then ran away. He is still alive.
• Melissa Hastings: Spencer's older sister
• Mike Montgomery: Perverted younger brother of Aria. Him and Hanna start to date, then fall in love.
• Kate Randall: Hanna's rival and soon-to-be stepsister.
• Olivia Caldwell: Spencer's surrogate mother, who wants to scam Spencer and her family.
• A: The evil stalker that keeps tormenting Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer.
• Jenna Cavanaugh: Toby's blind sister and Emily's neighbor.
• Lucas: Hanna's ex-boyfriend; A tears them apart.
• Spencer: Spencer is stealing....from her family! She better watch out because A isn't very good at keeping secrets. Maybe she should just come clean, but that doesn't happen in Rosewood.
• Isaac Colbert: Emily's ex-boyfriend. He and Emily have sex, but he breaks up with her when she becomes wary of his mother.
• Riley Wolfe: Hanna's rival.
• Mrs. Colbert: Isaac's mother. Draws Emily and Isaac apart.
• Naomi Zeigler: Hanna's rival.
• Andrew Campbell: Spencer's boyfriend.
• Morgan Frick: Olivia's "husband."
• Xavier: Ella's boyfriend.
• Maya St.Germain: Emily's ex-girlfriend whom she broke up with when Maya caught Emily and a girl from Iowa ,Trista, kissing.
