well, its the year of the memoir over here at Casa de Holly. Her eye for funky street details and capturing the loneliness of being 12 and ignored .. twists your heart up. I loved reading about Montreal and all of its dodgy parts.

Absolutely disturbing... but it is interesting that you can take such a romantic view of such a dismal upbringing. That bothered me more than the subject matter... which I guess was just too much for me.
