“It would be a turn off if the males were smaller than the women. I love the series cause I can escape and fantasize about having sex with those characters:) keyword fantasize...lol”
“Overall, I liked this book, but it is not even close to being the best book in the series. Pick this one up, it's a good introduction to the world of the Lore--the supernatural world these characters live in. Then move on to the next book, No Rest For the Wicked. You'll get hooked. These books are great!!!Oh, I also don't mind the tiny females part--I'm only 5 feet tall myself! It's not just about balancing tiny heroines against huge heroes. These females are tiny but tough. Seriously, valkyries are around my height, but there are plenty of big strong demon males that turn and run when valkyries are around. Regin (one of the valkyries) literally picks up cars and throws them onto houses in one book. Gotta love Regin and "Nucking Futs" Nix--they show up in most of the books and are my all-time favorite characters. I hope Ms. Cole gives them their own books.”
“I get the bit about tiny - Cole seems to like her ladies to be that way - it seems like the ladies of the Lore we have come across are just built like that - but then you have to also remember that the Valkyrie are smaller - werewolves and vamps are huge guys in comparison so this just helps to emphasise the difference in size. I just love these books - on my second reading so that I can read Kiss of A Demon King!”
“Another awesome read for an insomniac. I finished it in one night. Couldnt put it down.”
“First, I must say that I love this series; however, the huge men with the constant emphasis on "tiny" women grates my nerves. The imbalance is irritating because I cannot for the life of me reconcile the need of every hero of extreme stature to mate with a tiny woman. I realize this is romance, but can't some of the heroines be at least "normal" sized? Cole might need to work on that.”
“ A great read on the go. I gulped it down.”
