With this fourth book in the ACRO series, I have become a firm fan of Sydney Croft (as if I wasn't right from the first book [g]).
Trance is a Dom who has stopped domming a long time ago. But with his latest mission going undercover in a BDSM club in Europe, he must face his biggest fears and act totally against his nature to give someone else control and act the submissive--a tall order for an exedosapien with the extra gift of being able to hypnotize anyone with a glance.
Ulrika "Rik" Jaeger comes from a long line of people who were in touch with their animal spirits. But Itor got wind of their "gifts", abducted Rik and all the people she loved to experiment on them. All but Rik died during the experimentations. Rik is left alone to face the ruthless torture of the agency that eventually turns her into a mindless predator bent on killing humans and tasting blood. But Rik escapes, surviving on the streets for years before she finally figures out a way to keep her hunger at bay and satisfy the beast when she becomes a Dom at a popular BDSM club in Great Britain. Through her Dom activities, she can control her beast, but with Itor's collar still around her neck, only removeable at the risk of her death, Rik is still a prisoner.
In this latest addition in the ACRO series, a couple of subplot characters' stories emerge and evolve to add to the fast pace and suspense of the overall novel without taking away from the intense relationship between Rik and Trance.
Another great book in the series!”
