Considering the subject matter, Pinker managed to put together an eminently readable description of the inner workings of the human mind.

Pinker's approach to the human mind is as to an organ whose functions can be traced back to its architecture and its evolutionary history. This may be distressing to folks who have certain pious notions, but for anyone who seeks an understanding of themselves that is not couched in superstitions or pseudoscience, Pinker's books will be a tremendous...
