The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier Tells how something simple like an optional school fund raiser can get out of hand and manipulate the entire student body and how they can turn everyone against you. I enjoyed this book because it seemed very believable and things work in high school, although,it seemed odd that Jerry was forgotten at the ending of the book.

A very deep story...I read this as a freshman in High School and to this day, am haunted by this story. I still find it amazing how teachers and adults STILL turn their heads on bullying in schools. Even after the disasters that have been brought about by such acts.
