- Grandmaster: The temple's master teacher, and all of the boys tuitor.
- Luk: Ying's best friend. He was killed on a mission from the emperor. He practiced deer style kung-fu
- Ying: A strong 16 year old who wants to kill Grandmaster. He was trained in eagle-style kung fu, but wants to have dragon-style kung fu.
- Malao: A cheeky 11 year old boy who has the kung fu of monkey.
- Seh: A sly, slighty dramatic 13 yearold boy who practices snake-style kung fu
- Hok: The Crane style master.
