An excellent premise, interesting universe, and generally amusing if somewhat predictable characters.

Excellent read, that was a breese to get through and enjoyable to boot. I look forward to reading Mr. Scalzi again in the near future.

A different take on space warfare. Old people, over 75, are given new bodies to participate in the defense of human space. Interesting for both the ideas and the characters.

This was the first book I've read by John Scalzi -a Sci-Fi story about old people that sign up to be interstellar warriors. Very intriguing story, with plenty to believe in and good character development. I'd read more by this author based on this first exposure to him.

Quick, enjoyable Heinlein-esque scifi. Action, sex, cool ideas... green skin, gray blood, religious aliens... fun, fun!

Fast paced, interesting read. The author has a unique concept that he explores with the use of retirees as soldiers. I would've liked to see other, secondary characters developed more, but you can't have everything. Looking forward to the rest of the trilogy.

This book is fantastic! A bit creepy in a way. Makes me wonder if I would give up my life here at age 75 for the unkown? I have also read all the rest in the series. FANTASTIC!
