“Stephanie Bond - 4 stars. This was a full book length story that was delightful and funny. A hotel manager finds an endless number of disasters and ways to embarass herself as she prepares for an upcoming evaluation and tries to get the hotel decorated for Christmas. She mistakes the guy doing the review for an adult toy salesman. Very enjoyable.
Linda Howard story - two stars. A woman in a dangerous premature labor situation just happens to be rescued by a doctor that specializes in premies. He just happens to fall in love with her during the delivery and commits to making her life pefect....yeah that could really happen *eyes roll*”
“The Stephanie Bond story was much better then the Linda Howard story.”Stephanie S wrote this review Thursday, June 9, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I only read Bluebird Winter, the final book in the Spencer-Nyle series by Linda Howard. This was Derek Taliferro's story, having finished college and medical school and practicing at a Dallas hospital. He's a neonatal specialist who, on his way home from visiting his mother for the Christmas holidays, comes upon Kathleen Fields stranded in her car during a blizzard and in the throes of premature labor. Derek delivers the baby at her home and, lovestruck with both Kathleen and the baby, takes them with him to Dallas.
This was a sweet, improbable story but a nice wrap-up to the series with one of my most favorite characters at the forefront. I don't believe in love at first sight romances so the premise was off for me. With that said, it was a quick, easy read I enjoyed. ”

“Two Christmas stories. The first one, was ridiculous, and I hated every minute of reading it. I love romance novels as much as the next person, but it was too cheesy. The second story, by Stephanie Bond was funny and enjoyable. A clasic mistaken identity throws our heroine into a tizzy when she figures out who her mystery client is.”Alyssa C wrote this review Tuesday, February 2, 2010. “I don't know why Linda Howard got top billing for this collection. Her contribution was half of Stephanie Bond's. Plus, her book wasn't very good. I would have given Linda's book a one star and Stephanie's at least a four.
Linda's characters were totally unbelievable. The leading lady was a wimpy pushover and the leading man was a bossy man-bitch.
Stephanie's characters reminded me of Janet Evanovich characters. The leading lady was funny and very clumsy. Her best friend looked after her like a best friend should. The leading man was quietly romantic.
I'm going to find some more Stephanie Bond books to read right now!”
