“Murray, a boy on 10th grade can talk to ghosts. He has no friends and the ghosts are all he has for friends. His mother is a prostitute and is always with other men and drinking. Every day he goes to the cemetery and talks to the ghosts. Murray calls himself the "Friend to the Deceased". Until one day hears a different voice, a screaming voice coming from somewhere in the cemetery. He wants to go figure out where it is coming from and why it is screaming. On the way to figure out this murder mystery he makes friends with a girl named Pearl. ”

“I'll admit I almost gave up on this book twice. I thought it was going to be all "Ghost Whisperer" like but instead I was bombarded by all these different characters, each chapter about a different character, that was confusing! But after I got over that (about more than half way through the book!) I realized it wasn't that bad. Not one of my favorites though.”
