Honestly, I liked it more than Twilight. My only complaint is I wish it was a bit longer and covered the entire book rather than stopping where it did. I understand why it stopped there though.
Twilight was all love, obsession, love, blah, blah, blah, but we find out in Midnight Sun that wasn't exactly the way Edward felt. Edward wanted to rip Bella's throat out and drink her blood even if he had to kill twenty more witnesses in order to do it. Midnight Sun was about Edward trying to tame his inner monster. We find out he's not so perfect after all, but that made me like him even more.”

I actually found this more enjoyable to read from Edwards point of view and would have probably scored it higher had it not basically told the exact same story of Twilight but from Edwards point. It was refreshing to see that Edward did not feel love at first sight for Bella,in fact his first instinct was that he wanted to kill her.I actually prefer Edward to Bella although there is one part where I felt he behaved like a stalker and that I did not feel was romantic but creepy.

“I loved been able to get a glimpse into the mind of Edward (and others if he reads their minds) after hearing from Jacob and Bella... many times I wondered what had he been thinking.
I hate the fact its only a draft and unfinished... it cuts off just before the best part but other then that its a great read and will give additional scenes that the reader would not view from Bella's percpective in Twilight
I really enjoyed reading Edward not being as gentlemanly as he leads bella on to believe:
"It drew my eyes... pulled them across the other hidden lines."
"It was better - essential - that I kept my thoughts far, far away from that shape, so I was grateful for the unbecoming sweater she wore." ”
“It was a great "short story". I just wish it were finished. Hearing Edward's side of the story was INCREDIBLE.”

In my opnion Stephanie Meyer is not only a genius writer but also a worldwide inspiration to all of those who fell out of love with reading. She has inspired the entire world to delve back into their imaginations based on the Twilight Series. I'm sorry, but J.K. Rowling doesn't have anything on Stephanie Meyer in the way of writing, and she's a much more open minded and kinder person. Rowling refused to come to the states and do a book tour for all of those kids because of her bias against Americans--I mean who does that to kids?!?! Squirrel (meaning totally out of the blue off the subject comment)--Midnight Sun is ingenious and it breaks my heart to this day that Meyer was betrayed like she was. She wrote Midnight Sun from Edward's perspective and made the first book, Twilight, into something entirely new and different even though it had the same plot just by bending it to the outlook of the other major character in the series. I was devastated to read the last sentence because I know in all likelihood Meyer will never finish this book and we will all be deprived of her tremendous talent because of some a**hole who wanted to make a quick buck. I hope whoever it was who turned it over to the press knows that the entire world hates him/her. But for those of you who have not read this, please visit Meyer's official site to read it, thereby honoring the author. Lord knows she deserves at least that after the fallout she's had to endure. She even requests that you read it from her site on her site. But you do have to read it if you are a lover of Twilight, like myself.”
