A witness to the First Lady's murder, Jessica Ford is running for her life with the help of Secret Service agent, Mark Ryan. Intense with a wonderful ending.

Was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Once again Robards weaves a fantastic tale that pulls you in for the ride. I loved the plot in this book. The whole conspiracy and unknown truths that it held.

Found the characters believable and I liked seeing how they both reacted in the various situations they were thrown in.

The perfect lazy day/beach day/rainy day read!

This was one of her best stories ever. It reminded me of her first books that made me fall in love with her writing such as: Night Magic and Maggys Child. This one is full of action and romance. Jessica Ford is a new lawyer for a prestigious law firm and shes been asked to escort the First lady, Annette Cooper back to the White House. Not sure why Annette is at a bar alone when shes supposed to be watched by her Secret Service detail, Jess does what she is asked. The next thing she knows is she is in a terrible car accident, and the First Lady and two other passengers are dead. She is the only one left alive and that means she is the only witness. When an attempt is made on her life while she is lying in the hospital, Secret Service agent, Mark Ryan, gets the duty of guarding Jess. Suddenly, the accident becomes a possible murder and Mark and Jess are the only ones who can prove it. Thrust together under adverse conditions, Mark and Jess become very unlikely allies. Loved it!
