Yes | No“The Essential series that Marvel's putting out is exactly what comics needs now: strong, lengthy reprints of old material. While some Essential volumes have been tampered with (the artwork in Tomb of Dracula has been censored, for example), most are great, black and white reproductions of the comics themselves. I don't care who you are, how much you read comics, or if you're even interested in comics at all: Howard the Duck was one of the greatest comics put out in a span of a decade, by Marvel or otherwise. Smart, wry, and in a constant mood of criticism, Gerber's Howard stories are thought provoking, fun, and hilarious. ”
