An awesome twist on vampires! gives excitement to the very end! David Wellington is truly a great author! This book lives up to his reputation of providing a different outlook on the supernatural while also keeping the reader in suspense to the very end!

A good suspense book, but it read too much like a script for me. A lot of gore and physical violence without much human quality to it except for the character Caxton. It's not a relatable novel. The characters felt phony. I would reccommend it as a laundrymat or waiting at the doctor's office read. It doesnt take too much concentration.

This and 99 coffins are great vampire novels. Perhaps a bit light on insight to earn a full five stars, but I don't really care - they are really good reading.
