“Disgrace is a story about David Lurie who works as a professor in college. He first uses a prostitute to for fill his needs in his love life, but then begins having a sexual relationship with his student Melanie. The schools he works out files a case against David for his sexual relationship with his student, and is forced into moving in with his daughter Lucy on her farm. I would not recommend this book to other readers at Baldwin because this story is a very mature. "Disgrace" also does not have a very interesting plot. The beginning on the novel is entertaining but continuing throughout the story it gets less interesting and more difficult to read. The author does not portray David's emotions well through his law case with Melanie, and it is not clear what is going through his head when he makes the mistakes he does. ”
