I have tried for about three weeks to read this book. I got to about page 70. It was a gift from Bruce and I really wanted to read it, but I just couldn't get into it.

Nice essays. Fair analysis. Helpful for those looking to see philosophical themes in Harry Potter. The best part os the book is the demonstration that these themes have a history in Western thought and that Harry Potter is just one of many places where those themes are developed. It is hoped that people will see that magic is afoot all around us and the true wizards are the philosophers who help se see it.

I've recently been engaged in correspondence with some of the philosophers in this volume about my own work. Good folk. I hope we can work something out.

this is a mixture of the harry potter series (j.k.rowling) and the thinkings of aristotle, well did anyone ever wonder what wh\ould happen if aristotle ran hogwarts?
