Rapunzel grows up happily with her adopted mother, a sorceress. However, she is still a teenager when she discovers Melisande has a birth dauther, and they must try to help her. A wizard has locked her in a tower, and the two of them must try to save her. In the course of doing so, both girls come to know one another, fall in love, and eventually trade names so that at least figuratively, Rapunzel has what she always wanted--long, beautiful hair.
