  “Porfin ya me acabé el libro, fue con este libro con el que se dio a conocer Haruki Murakami, es un libro que toca los temas del amor y la muerte junto a la vida de universitario, en plan estilo japonés, eso no se pierde y nos adentra en los suburvios nipones a través de los ojos de un universitario marcado por la muerte de su mejor amigo y que sin quererlo siente un fuerte vinculo por la novia del amigo la cual no está en su mejor época que digamos. Es un libro profundo y si conoces un poco de música como jazz, blues y pop de los años 50-60-70 entonces creo que aún te gustará más leer el libro. Disfrutad leyendo.”

  “At last I finished this Murakami's novel. It was a hard read for me since this book evoked a great deal of feelings in my heart. It deals with melancholy, teenagers commiting suicide, love triangles, among other subjects. Watanabe is a sulky, lonely young who is divided between two different outlandish girls. Naoko, a young girl is depressed and rather confused about life and love and Watanabe -the narrator- feels responsible for her. Naoko is overly sensitive and fearful and she lives isolated in an utopic world. On the other hand, Midori is a darind and audacious girl, with whom Watanabe went to X-rated sadomasochist films and got drunk in the afternoon. An important literary reference is that Midori and Watanabe meet in the university theater after a lesson about Euridipes and his "deus ex machina". Every character in the novel drag without finality in their own lonely world. Another interesting reference in music is the song "Norwegian Woods" by the Beatles. The lyrics tell a recurrent scene in this book. It is a weird but wonderful read, almost hypnotic characters. Sometimes they are grotesque but I felt closer to them. A magnificient Murakami's book. I should heartly recommend to everyone. ”

  “Es un libro en el que simplemente ocurren cosas. Es bastante lineal. Personalmente me he llevado una grata sorpresa. Es sencillo de leer, pero está lleno de descripciones, sentimientos, y de una historia de la que todos podemos sacar una moraleja. ”
