Didn’t Like It“I think I made it a little over half way through this book. I love the cover! |
“The concept behind this book was very unique and intriguing. I loved the post-apocalyptic world, its inhabitants, and even the twisting plot. But there was just so much sex in it that it pretty much overpowered everything else. It felt a little like reading porn... I thought the story would've been stronger without all the digressions.”

I didn’t finish it because the romantic relationship in this book was not realistic to me. They began having sexual relations (very erotic) without knowing each other. That just gets under my skin. I ended up hating the book so I stopped reading it. :( There’s a follow up book to this as well. Spider-Touched but I don’t know anything about it. It too has a great cover.”
“I liked the story and the way the world seems to have collapsed and most of the human population no longer exists, but there are more creatures. Vampiers, Werewolves, witches.
I thought that the books was good read, but there could have been more to it. Maybe even a second to go along with it would have been good.”
“Aside from the cover being gorgeous, this book didn't really do it for me.
I got maybe 2/3 the way through it but just couldn't stand to read the rest.
It has a good story line and the world it's set in is awesome, but all the sex seems to throw it off.
Maybe if Aisling wasn't constantly thinking about the next time Zurael and her could screw or getting all hot and bothered when they touched, it would have been interesting.
I don't normally have a problem with sex in books but this was just.. a lot.
I guess I'll have to look up how it ends 'cause I really don't want to read it to find out. ]:

“While not a fan of urban fantasy I thought this book was well written. Aisling, a shamaness, is pushed into a situation where she does her best to survive although betrayal and death are everywhere. She has a demon lover that could get her killed but they survive. She also discovers who she is. There is a lot of sex but it's part of the story and is well written. There's also a lot of violence in the story. That I don't like so well. All in all, though, it kept me turning the pages.”
