Cast of Characters/Important People
- Ryan McCray: A 15-year-old teenage boy, Ryan is housebound after an attempt of exploring the dredge at the end of town with his friend, Sarah Fincher, ends up in him breaking his leg and recieving orders never to see Sarah again. He records all the strange happenings of town, and any new information he finds, in his journal. He "lives to write", and writes down EVERYTHING that happens to him.
- Sarah Fincher: Sarah Fincher has been Ryan's best friend ever since they were little. When something goes wrong while exploring the dredge and Ryan's leg is broken, her parents separate her from Ryan as well. However, she still takes videos and uploads them to her website for Ryan to see. Where Ryan was the writer, Sarah is the camera-woman. She interviews and catches everything on film; after all, why just tell someone when you can show them?
- Old Joe Bush: Joe Bush used to work at the dredge before the horrible accident that took his life there. He seems to have come back as a ghost that haunts the dredge; a ghost that guards something mysterious...
- Ranger Bonner: Ranger Bonner is the new ranger in town, and he's only going to stay a year, as all of them did. But there's something very strange about him... the way he closely resembles Joe Bush, why he's so protective of the dredge, and why he gets defensive of Sarah's investigations of the dredge...
- Paul McCray: Ryan's dad is pretty much average. The only thing is that he has a strange tattoo on his shoulder. That he doesn't want his son investigating the dredge. And the fact that he seems to belong to a secret society...
- Henry: Paul McCray's best friend who used to work for New York Gold and Silver. Every once in a while, he comes to Skeleton Creek to spend his vacation.
