  • Gil
  • Ruth: Ruth is my favorite woman of the Bible. And not just because my middle name is Ruth. :) She was a courageous woman who, after having lost all that was dear to her, was not afraid to go on with life and trust the Lord. I also find it very heart-warming how she would not leave her mother-in-law, Naomi.
  • Phil
  • Noah
  • Jesus Christ: Our great Savior. He was born of a virgin. He was fully man, fully God. He was sinless. He was despised and rejected. He bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. With His stripes we are healed. He died on the cross for us-- for our sins. But all was not lost. He rose again three days later and went to be with His Father in Heaven. He will be coming again. Are you ready?
  • Adam and Eve
  • David: He is a man after the heart of the lord. He won the heart of God over and over again

Quotes edit see section history

  • “Titus 1:15-16 (NKJV) 15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.”
    Paul
  • “Titus 2:7-8 (NKJV) 7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, 8 sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.”
    Paul
  • “Titus 2:11-14 (NKJV) 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”
    Paul
  • “Titus 3:4-7 (NKJV) 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
    Paul
  • “Romans 1:16 (NKJV) 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
  • “Romans 1:28-32 (NKJV) 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”
  • “Romans 2:1 (NKJV) 1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.”

Notes for Parents edit see section history

Reading Level: Adults

This Bible translation could be fairly well understood from a high school level. I wouldn't recommend for young children, because it is essentially a ''toned down KJV'' and not necessarily easy for a younger audience to understand in todays contemporary society.
