Furthermore, he provides new ways of thinking and organizing our finances so that we can help.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“If 1.2 billion people on our little blue planet live in absolute poverty & another 1.6 billion are considered very poor, that's 1/2 our world trying to survive on less than $2 a day.
Danger...don't read this unless you desire to become generous!”

It's made me rethink much of what I took for granted and will keep me from ever complaining about money again.”

Sider really brings out the foundations of the Old Testament moral law in regard to money and the poor. I will keep this one on the shelf and refer to it more than once! Sider doesn't let anyone off the hook. He tells it like it is.”

It was truly a breath of fresh air. The theme of the book resonated with me on many levels, and the way Ron Sider builds his case and supports his arguments is compelling. What makes his presentation so unique and the book so interesting is that, in addition to laying a solid scriptural foundation for his arguments, he also includes quotes from a wide variety of literary sources and many interesting statistics. This is not a quick read, but a very rewarding one and probably the best “Christian” book I have read in twenty years. 5/5 stars”
