I especially resonated with the theme of putting God above all else and having to choose to learn to trust Him with the things most precious to us. It is a human response to want to protect and fix and save out of our own strength but we must learn to chose to trust in the character of the one who is in control and has real power to save.
Hancock writes so much more than just a good story but she illustrates spiritual life. I find that in reading Abramm's story I was challenged in my own walk with the Lord in a powerful way and that is a rare and wonderful gift to find in a novel. Hancock's books are well written, insightful, creative and a very welcome edition to the Christian fantasy market. ”
