Cast of Characters/Important People
- Quinn Hunt: Main character, seventeen years old. She's surrounded by strong women who tell cautionary tales of heartbreak. She describes herself as a 'nice' person, who makes the 'good' choices. She's a good person, one who would feel guilty if 'i took more than one cookie from the cookie jar.' Even though Quinn is aware of her father's selfish behavior, she'd rather not look too closely, because for her, she couldn't imagine a life without her father. For whatever reason, there is an unmistakable need for acceptance from her father. She denies all his faults. Quinn also has a strong relationship with her little sister, Charlotte (Sprout).
- Charlotte "Sprout" Hunt: Quinn's eleven year old little sister. Fiesty with a strong personality and an outspoken voice. She isn't afraid to state the truth. She loves her father's now ex-girlfriend Brie.
- Barry Hunt: Quinn's father, and the main reason for Quinn's quest to uncover the truth. He's an entertainer, described with a special charismatic ability.
- Frances Lee Giofranco: Quinn and Sprout's half sister, Barry's daughter from her first marriage. She's feisty, irritable,and has a bit of a temper, but is there for the girls, as sister's are.
- Jake: Frances Lee's boyfriend's younger brother. He is a musician, and travels along on the quest to get to his next gig. He finds something completely unexpected.
