• Zoey Redbird: Lead character. Has an affinity for all elements, including Spirit. Hasn't yet Changed, but her marks are complete- and expanding as time goes on. Has an issue keeping just ONE boyfriend.
• Stevie Rae Johnson: Has an affinity for earth, and she's a red vampyre. Zoey's best friend and former roommate.
• Erik Night: Just changed into a vampyre, and is Zoey's boyfriend. Who doesn't like Heath
• Damien Maslin: One of Zoey's friends, also has an affinity for wind and vocabulary.
• Heath Luck: Zoey's human boyfriend whom she had imprinted, then broken the imprint, a star football player for Zoey's old school.
• Kalona: Fallen Angel, and "god." Has black wings and an exquisite body. Normally walks around shirtless.

• Darius: he is a Son of Erebus, and protects Zoey. has a crush on Aphrodite.
• Neferet: High Priestess gone bad, works side by side with Kalona. Can look into peoples minds and manipulate.
• Raven Mockers: Half-human, half-raven. Evil. Sons of Kalona.
• Venus: A "red fledgling" and uppity ex-roommate of Aphrodite.
• Kramisha: A "red fledgling." Has quite the attitude.
• Sister Mary Angela: Currently watching over Grandma Redbird, is a part of the Abbey and watches over cats.
• Professor Lenobia: Professor, deals with Equestrian Studies.
• Sylvia Redbird: Zoey's grandmother; Strong Cherokee, often very helpful to Zoey, the only family member Zoey seems to like.
• James Stark: A red fledgling, found a connection with Zoey before he died.
• Persephone: Zoey's "horse" that she takes care of in Lenobia's class.
• Rephaim: "Head" Raven Mocker of sorts, does a lot of work directly for Kalona. Rephaim is Kalona's first son and the most developed in terms of language.
• Dragon Lankford: Fencing professor.
• Anastasia Lankford: Professor Lankford's mate, Professor of Spells and Rituals.
• Aphrodite LaFonte: Zoey's former enemy who has visions of tragic events that are about to happen.
• Nyx: Goddess of night and mother of all vampyres.
• Loren Blake: He was Zoey's ex-lover, who was killed.
• Erebus: Nyx's consort.
• Shekinah: High Priestess of ALL vampyres.
• Tsi Sgili: A great evil witch who appears to be Neferet now.
• A-ya: the name of the maiden who trapped Kalona centuries ago.
• Professor Garmy: Spanish professor.

• Raven Mockers: Children of Kalona and the women he raped from Zoey's Chreokee tribe long ago. They are creatures that are part raven part man. They are very vicious, sneaky, and will do anything Kalona tells them to do, which often involves spying on Zoey.

Don't let your child read this book(series) if they are under the age of 11. It has some words kids would not know, and would not know how to pronounce. Some sexual references and mild profanity that may be unsuitable for younger readers. I would say that children under the age of 15 should not read this book. I believe even 15 year olds are too young to read this due to the language, graphic material, and sexual content. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 15..... It is pretty bad, in a sense of vulgarity, lust, love connections, sexual tension/and or references. Death, cussing, creatures, and frightening.
