Didn’t Like It “This book of short stories was not in anyway as good, well-written, or interesting as the novels written by Joanne Harris. There was more pretention than editing apparent, but don't let that deter you from reading Gentlemen and Players, which is probably her best yet, or her other novels. “Short stories. Wonderful short stories. I liked them all but I loved Breakfast at Tesco's. Faith and Hope Go Shopping, made me laugh and cry. All great, they made a trip from Texas to Minnesota a breeze. Buy it.Read it. ”

There was more pretention than editing apparent, but don't let that deter you from reading Gentlemen and Players, which is probably her best yet, or her other novels. I tend to like short stories because they require skill and 'writing craft' to get the people and points across briefly.”
