I loved this collection of short stories. The one called "The Red Shoes" is poigniant and funny - so you can't help but love it.

This book of short stories was not in anyway as good, well-written, or interesting as the novels written by Joanne Harris. There was more pretention than editing apparent, but don't let that deter you from reading Gentlemen and Players, which is probably her best yet, or her other novels. I...

This is a collection of Joanne Harris' playful short stories. Harris uses multiple protaganists, both male and female.
Her stories often have surprising endings and are definitely thought-provoking.

Short stories. Wonderful short stories. I liked them all but I loved Breakfast at Tesco's. Faith and Hope Go Shopping, made me laugh and cry. All great, they made a trip from Texas to Minnesota a breeze. Buy it.Read it.

There was more pretention than editing apparent, but don't let that deter you from reading Gentlemen and Players, which is probably her best yet, or her other novels. I tend to like short stories because they require skill and 'writing craft' to get the people and points across briefly.

A magnificent collection of stories that range from supernatural to just plain heartwarming. Each tale comes with an author's note about what sparked the idea behind it.

A collection of contemporary short-stories. I enjoyed most of the stories in this book, and would probably revisit the book again.
