I loved the "realness" of the characters. I definitely have to get the other Once Upon books.
Michelle's nephew who she has raised since her sister's death announces one evening that he wants to find his father. Michelle has no idea who he is. Brandon finds some clues and locates one of the men who might be his father, Daniel. Of course Daniel is shocked but he knows for sure if he is the kid's father, he won't be an absentee dad like his was. So while they wait for the DNA test results, Daniel wants to get to know Bran. He remembers his mom fondly; she is the one who got him to follow his dream. However, Aunt Michelle isn't as thrilled that Bran didn't wait until he was 18 like she told him. She really feels threatened and doesn't handle change well. Michelle does want her nephew to be happy and she can tell that he really wants to get to know Daniel so she relunctantly agrees to all of them meeting up. As they get to know each other, attraction develops which throws Michelle for another loop. No way can she handle this without her 2 best friends and their advise.
