Liked It“Hard to beat Mosley -- I was missing Easy Rawlins, and this isn't another Easy novel, but a more modern version of Easy, transported to NYC. It's got great pace, dark characters, and an appreciation of real life human nature. Highly enjoyable read...” see full review » see other reviews » |

Walter Mosley weaves a tight but cockeyed story, interesting, brutal and laughing out loud fun... just the way I like my reading”

Yes | No“I might be a little biased since Walter is one of my very favorite authors but this book was just plain good. Leonid is his latest character who, like Easy Rawlins has a complex occupation and an even more complicated home life. Well written in that gritty crime fiction style that Walter is well known for. ”
