He discovers a teacher of his is the serial wrist-cutter, stealing people's and animals hands. He breaks into his teacher's house and steals all the hands, then plants fake evidence that it was Morino that broke in, hoping the teacher will go kill her and take her hand. Unfortunately his plan fails and instead Morino and him become friends.
Morino finds a journal that has a record of all the current serial murders that have been happening. A woman's name that is in the notebook has yet to turn up in the news, so the two journey out to the location specified in the notebook and find the mutilated woman, beyond recognition. Before leaving she takes the woman's clothes that were lying beside her and the next day shows up wearing them. She is eventually captured by the serial murderer. The Narrator goes out to find her when he realizes who the murderer is and confronts him. The murderer tells him where Morino is and leaves. Morino is saved.
The next serial killer that appears has a thing for burying people alive. Morino catches the eye of this mad man and gets buried. All she has to breath through is a tube sticking out of the ground, which the murderer after a few days will fill with water so his victim will drown. Once again, the narrator encounters the soon-to-be murderer. Goes back to his place with him and while chatting receives a call from Morino. She is fine and on her way. What is going on?
Yoru had a twin?! Her sister's name was Yuu. Yuu died by hanging when they were both young. When they were little they both enjoyed drawing and acting like dead bodies. They were identical twins with very different personalities. Yoru is a little frightened because someone is looking into her past and sending her old drawings. Again, Yoru Morino is victim to this time a classmate serial killer.An the narrator finds her, calling her Yuu Morino. Wait? What?! With Morino's past revealed, she is knocked unconscious by her captor while he and Kamiyama duel it out. Who will will win?
