  “I don't know if it's the same book, but the one I'm reading is titled STORIES FROM THE LONG VALLEY, consists of only 8 short stories. Some of the stories are quite remarkable, although most of them have an abrupt ending, almost like a cliffhanger. Not quite a page turner.”
