Now, clutching love letters of the man she plans to marry and her young sister in tow, she moves to a town where prejudice, hatred, love and forgiveness resides, she just has to learn which ones she is going to except.Paper Roses is such a beautiful title, it had the impression of being a good story. And I was not disappointed. This story truly has some great storytelling in it. While it is love story between two people desperate for reconciliation with their Father in Heaven, it is also a tale of a town suffering with prejudice.

  • San Antonio, Texas: The capital of the state; where Sarah and Thea had met Clay.
  • Philadelphia: Where Sarah and Thea had lived before moving to Ladreville, Texas
  • Ladreville, Texas: Smal, spotlessly clean and prosperousl town with 2-story half-timbered buildings with steeply pitched roofs. There were two churches, because two natioalities lived there: French people and German, mainly from Alsace in Europe. Each group wanted to remain separate from the other.
  • Canfield ranch: Near the Medina River, called the Bar C, rough-timbered and smaller than the neighbors'
  • Lazy B ranch: Owned by the Brambles, it was larger than the Bar C, had a 2-story home and several outbuildings. The main room in the house held femine touches.
