“I really liked this one. There was a lot of dry, sarcastic humor which I always love. One of the best things is that the romance took some work, it didn't just happen at the get go. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a funny, romantic novel.”Lindsay N wrote this review Saturday, March 9, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“I'm very glad I picked up this book for my weekend reading. Nowadays, with writers being able to self-publish on the web, there are countless number of, at the most, below-average quality "stories" out there that bury ones that are actually worth reading. It is a rare treat to find such a worthwhile book without the help of the New York Times bestseller list or any media hype. Just the Sexiest Man Alive is a traditional, feel-good romance - a rare breed in the romance genre which has fast become dominated by hybrid sub-genres.
Oh and the characters, especially the hero and heroine, remind me so much of the beloved characters in the straightforward but heartwarming romance movies of yesteryears that I still love and dearly miss. In a way, they and the their story are so believable that one can actually think somewhere out there, people like them actually exist and a story like theirs can actually be real. And then, of course, there is still that element of suspended reality that makes every good work of fiction a memorable escape into another world.
The humor, the romance, the "aww and sigh" moments, the love-and-hate element that never fails to give any love story its juicy conflict, the character development (especially of Jason), the supporting characters, the effective representation of Hollywood and the legal world... they were threads that Ms. James wove craftily into a simple but beautiful tapestry. I am definitely adding all her other works to my To-Read pile! ”
“Just the Sexiest Man Alive was a feel-good romance—definitely a fun and quick read. Jason, aka “The Sexiest Man Alive” is a huge movie star who has been voted sexiest man alive for three years straight. He fits into what most of us imagine Hollywood men are like—arrogant, with huge egos. But this suddenly changes when he receives a new role as a lawyer, and needs to be trained by Taylor, who’s one of the best.
Taylor’s just been cheated on by her (now) ex-fiancé, and completely resists falling for The Sexiest Man Alive. He begins finding himself more and more attracted to her after she resists his every charm.
I had a lot of fun reading this book. Taylor has to be one of my new favorite heroines. I loved her! I laughed a lot throughout this book—the wittiness and sarcasm between the two characters was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this one.
“Taylor Donovan, lawyer, lets nothing faze her in the courtroom. Her boss makes her take on the job of teaching the movie star, Jason Andrews how to work a courtroom. He is "the sexiest man alive". He can't believe that she wont fall at his feet like every other woman on the planet. So the challenge is on. Great fun”Marty H wrote this review Saturday, September 22, 2012.
