  • Duke McMahon: is an old 40's Hollywood legend. Coming from a poor family of Irish immigrants and having grown up in Brooklyn, Duke is very proud of what he has accomplished in his life. He is very handsome and self-confident but also emotionally cruel und un-loving.
  • Minnie McMahon: is Duke's wife. Her wealthy New England background inspires her elegance. She loves Duke but is uncomfortable with his lack of class as well as his verbal attacks.
  • Peter McMahon: is Duke's and Minnie's son. Unlike his parents, he is rather ugly and a bit clumsy. He grows up to be a very successfull producer.
  • Laurie McMahon: is Duke's and Minnie's daughter. She is fat, ugly and very emotional.
  • Claire McMahon: is Peter's beautifull wife. Coming from a wealthy New England family, she abandoned her studies in medicine to marry Peter whom she loves very much.
  • Caroline Berkeley: is a gold-digger from England and Duke's mistress.
  • Hunter McMahon: is Duke's and Caroline's son. Hated by his half-siblings and his father's wife and abandoned by his own parents, he is a beautiful but very lonley child. Later he grows up to be a successful actor.
  • Siena McMahon: is Peter's and Claire's daughter. She is adored by everyone due to her good looks which inspires her egocentrism and selfishness. She wants to become a famous actress and strives for her grandfather's appreciation more than anything else.
  • Tiffany Wedan: is Hunter's beautiful girlfriend, a TV actress with a heart of gold.
  • Max de Seville: is Hunter's childhood friend and the only person to stay with him through good and bad.
  • Randall Stein: is a famous Hollywood producer. As a mentee of Duke's, he is Peter's biggest rival. Although he is not the most handsome, the girls go crazy for his authority and wealth.
  • Henry Arkell: is Max's older half-brother who lives on his farm in England. He fulfills the role of a father figure for Max.
  • Muffy Arkell: is Henry's beautiful and lovely wife.
  • Ines: becomes Siena's best friend when she has grown up.
  • Freddie: is the Arkell's au-pair who shows a huge interest in Max.
  • Christopher Wellesly: is the Arkells neighbour and later marries Caroline.
  • Camille Andrews: is an LA waitress and inspiring actress who is very much interested in Max.
